What Value Do We Provide?
These past few months got me thinking again about this tweet I saw few years ago.

Most investors do not provide value. They provide capital.
Founders, operators, and management teams provide (or subtract) value with that capital. If you’re an investor, please do not glorify your role. Your job is to make sure you don’t do anything stupid with the money.
I’m mainly active more within the operator role now. And nothing’s wrong with that. I think it’s also important to grow to be better operator-investor in a way.
The mindset, the understanding of business, the grit to be on the ground; will compliment each role in this operator-investor journey.
The world is probably getting more uncertain, hopefully we can be less and less stupid day by day.
